Goodbye Micheal.

May 11th-The Office is one of the greatest shows ever created. Though I remember the first time I saw it wayy back maybe my junior year of high school and I thought, "Okay, seriously? Everyone is raving about a stupid show like that? Thats pretty sad. Its not even funny, I don't understand how people can think it is." I didn't even laugh once!
Then right after my brother Tyson came home from his mission almost two years ago, I picked it back up, gave it another shot and had a completely different reaction. PURE GENUIS! I was hooked! I continued to follow it until the most recent episodes. I lost interest last year just because it wasn't fun for me anymore. Today, as I was killing time while one of the kids I watch was asleep- I stumbled upon Micheal Scott's last episode...

The way he left couldn't have been more perfect. He was able to say his goodbye's without going through the sad goodbye's. Its bittersweet to see him go, he was a large part of The Office but change is always good (Will Ferrel? Ugh, gross.) And blimey its sad to admit that I almost cried- especially when Jim and Micheal were crying. SO TENDER! GOTTA LOVE THE OFFICE!!! =]

Sparks of Inspiration.

May 10th- I found this photoshoot through a friend on Facebook. I love it. I love the free spirit feeling and the way it is composed. It totally calls home to me- And I like the truck!

Great Advice.

May 9th-Started a new nanny job today and I’m starting another tomorrow- sweet! Volunteering for the lesson for FHE tonight was a flop- such is life though. An uplifting message I was reminded of though:

Happy Mothers Day!

May 8th-My mom can do anything. She is awesome!

John Krasinski.

May 7th- Everyone loves a good chick flick. I was planning on seeing “Something Borrowed” alone after the YSA activity tonight, but two friends were able to tag along and I was excited to have a girls night out. When we were in our seats, four other girls from our ward came in coincidentally. It was so fun! The movie was great. I love the tangible feeling of happy endings after a good chick flick. But this is what I really want to talk about:

I really love John Krasinski- he seems like a one of a kind actor.  He seems so down to earth and genuine. I’ve never seen him in a movie that he plays an offensive roll. The Office- He plays a salesmen who takes his job seriously, while he finds humor and wit to make it through the usual obnoxious workday but he never forgets to make his wife Pam feel like she is the best woman in the world. And although he has a heart of gold and he truly cares about his co-workers when the time is needed -he is never afraid to pull out the pranks. License to Wed- I need to watch that movie again, I can’t remember exactly how his character was but it was honorable! And adorable! Something Borrowed- He plays the best friend of the main character who he has feelings for. He see's how her dilemma with another guy can hurt her and he encourages her to get some self respect and stop letting the guy mess with her mind, and her friends walk all over her. But, he respects her enough to make her decision even though he gets frustrated she won't see her self worth. Talk about the best guy friend you could get out there!
Jonny Depp said, "With any part you play, there is a certain amount of yourself in it. There has to be, otherwise it's just not acting. It's lying." Underneath all of John Krasinski's roles, you can always find that witty, caring gentleman.
This world is in desperate need to have more guys similar to his personality acting roles.

Pretty Eyes.

May 6th-OH MY GOODNESS. I saw the most BEAUTIFUL pair of eyes on a little boy I took pictures of today. Literally they were a bright almost lime green, and it totally contrasted with his naturally tan skin- seriously he was maybe 9 and even I was intimidated to stand in front of him. Such beauty is almost a curse. They were so awesome!

Too Close For Comfort.

May 5th- Today was scary. I have never been so close to something so dangerous and I never want to be again. I went to work knowing where we were located today was a little sketchy. But I dismissed the thought of thinking anything was going to happen. Boy, was I wrong. As I was taking pictures of city league baseball players I heard what I immediately thought were gun shots, but they sounded more like fireworks so I thought nothing of it. “They sounded far off anyways, if they even were gun shots,” I reassured myself. I carried on taking pictures- then noticed little kids were screaming and shrieking outside. I went out of my photography tent to see what was going on and my coworker said, “The guy is laying on the ground. Micheal (another co-worker) saw him fall.”
I immediately pulled out my phone and starting texting my family asking for prayers of safety. I had no idea where the suspect was- he could still be close by and armed. I also didn’t know how close the victim was. He could be across the street, in the middle of the street, or worse; on the same grass that I’m standing. I looked up and saw the entire park including kids completely stopped and facing the same direction towards the scene. “Come see Mandy!” My co-worker Joe suggested. “Oh no, I’m good. Thanks,” And with that- I turned back into my tent. The ambulance shows up, the police show up, and then the news. I was interviewed by Channel 2: http://connect2utah.com/news-story/?nxd_id=145057&shr=addthis
And this is my co-worker Micheal on Channel 5: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=15430163
After everything was over and the body was taken away but the evidence was still present I got up the courage to see just how close it was. My heart sunk when I realized the only thing between me and the victim was a stretch of grass, and a waist high chain link fence- less than 50 yards from my photography tent. I’m glad no one else was hurt and that when the gun was fired it was aimed away from the park. If he was flipped, bullets could have easily hit me.

It wasn't long until it became a joke for work. Micheal and I wanted to re-do our interviews and be more like this guy " Whale- OBVIOUSLY there is a shooter here in Rose Park, so you better hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide yo husbands because they be bustin' a cap on everyone out here..." HAHA:

Falling.

May 4th- Song’s cute. Simple, but cute.

A Change Will Do You Good.

May 3rd- Feelin’ good today, a sense of change is always refreshing. =D

I Love Drives.

May 2nd- Kim, My Mom and I drove back to Utah. This trip has been honestly everything- in the best way. =]

"Forget And Not Slow Down."

Sunday May 1st- Had the chance to be here when President Haynie got released. They combined Escondido’s stake with ours- So not only does the San Marcos Ward not exist anymore, the entire Escondido South Stake doesn’t exist anymore. I really cannot believe how much life has changed- in only almost two years. It won’t ever slow down, will it? Or even pause, so I can soak it up just a little longer.

OH! I HAD A WONDERFUL SUNDAY NAP!

We went back to the Pier to watch the sunset. Always much better over the ocean. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful trip. <3

THE BIG DAY!

Saturday April 30th- Deffinatly the best day of the entire trip! CRYSTAL AND MORGAN’S WEDDING!!! I am so happy for them! When they came out of the temple and stood there unsure of what to do next- I couldn’t contain my excitement- I ran up and gave her the biggest hug. Its completely mind blowing to think of us together in high school, her missionary discussions and the entire journey to this very day. So amazing!
I had so much fun hanging with the other bridesmaids throughout the day. In between the Temple and the ring ceremony and reception I had the chance to do Nikita’s hair:
I thought it turned out really well! I loved having girl time! Then it was walking down the isle time. So precious! The reception was a ton of fun for me. I haven’t felt so much myself in a while.

After the reception- Kim and I had the chance of meeting up with a good friend and going to Santana’s. Kim and I shared Carne Asada Fries- SO DELECTABLE!!! I was stoked…incredibly stoked.

Picking Up The Pieces.

Friday April 29th- Had a slow morning, but a good one. My request was BJ’s for lunch:
OH
MY
GOSH
It was more than fantastic. I got my typical Spinach Artichoke Dip.
Before: AHHHHHH its like a gift from the heaven’s kitchen...

After: Literally my taste buds were having their party of the century.

Then dared to order my ultimate favorite dessert- A Chocolate Chip Pazookie:

 Ahaaaaand After....:

After eating I didn’t feel like putting on a swimsuit, but we found ourselves at the beach again. =] I’m glad Kim dragged me in to brave the water- I needed it more than I realized. Biggest smile on my face on this trip so far I think as I was diving through those waves. =]

Seems Like Someone Said, "You Had It In You, All Along."

Thursday April 28th- Woke up to sunshine! Went shopping and got my nails done (holy crap they did an amazing job) with my mom in the morning:

I also got this sweet sticker made for my car:
It makes me happy. I do love California, I feel like I’m home and I have a purpose. Then Kim and I and our moms went to Oceanside pier to soak up the sun. May I introduce you to the best swings in the world:

After was Crystal’s bridal shower. I can’t believe she’s getting married. It was crazy to see everyone, and actually be where I was. I haven’t felt so sure of myself in a while. My favorite part about today was laying out and looking at the stars on the trampoline with Kim and Megan. The talks were long overdue. <3

Sy-Ah-Nar-Ah.

Wednesday April 27th- Drove to California, with Nikita, Kim, and My madre. I love drives, I can’t ever get tired of them. Just listening to music and thinking and having new scenery is awesome therapy.  I really couldn’t get my head to wrap around that I was going to California, I just kept driving. It felt good to have Utah in my rear view mirror. I like getting out and traveling. Maybe too much.

You Are A Tourist.

Tuesday April 26th: New Death Cab is coming out the end of May. SWEET! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Thanks Death Cab. =D

Somewhere With You.

Saturday April 23rd:  Love this song. I don't know why though- I don't have someone I'd rather be with. I think I'm wierd- I honestly love being single. Haha flirting is the totally way to go- not tied down. Ugh. Its so restricted. Gross.  =]

Inspired.

Friday April 22nd:  People inspire me. I like being inspired- that little kick in your pants or palm to forehead notion. Gah! Here's a few people who do me the honor:

My family: Love every single one of 'em. Is there anything deeper than love? If you find that word- let me know. Thats the word for this picture. <3

My Ultimate Best Friend Of All Time: Kim. Seriously the girl is a bombshell. Love her like a sister.

This is Kelin: Really- there hasn't been one time where I have been around him and didn't want to become a better person. Solid stud.

Literally the most rad person ever put in on planet earth. Teressa can do anything. Really. Anything.

My Latest and Greatest.

Thursday April 21st:  I have a terrible curse of making incredibly unattractive faces spur of the moment while a camera is aimed in my general direction. They make for a good laugh though. Or a super discusted look, and the thought, "UGH! Why would someone ever realease this to the web?! The WORLD?!" Whichever you choose. I'll never know anyways. =D

We have the classic Quintin Jepsen face:

 The um, ..... :

And my personal favorite: The No Neck All Chin -" Look ma! I gained 200 pounds!"

That kind of luck takes sheer talent. =D

Pictures of You. Pictures of Me.

Wednesday April 20th-Got the pictures from my free photo shoot at my internship- Hope you like:

Called To Serve.

Sunday April 17th- Due to the fact of being sick- I felt like I was going to fall over at any given moment in church. Perhaps thats why I said yes to the  new calling I was extended today. =]

Pure Genius!!!

Saturday April 16th- Two entertaining (depending how you look at it) results occur when you get sick:
1.)    You get overly fed up with everyone and everything- you would trade anyone’s body to get out of your own.
2.)    You are so loony that little things that are outrageously immature and  incredibly pathetic come off as just downright hilarious.
While I was unhappily flipping through the channels, ready to throw the remote and give up I stopped on this:

Such uncontrollable laughter on a matter so completely adolescent really should be looked down upon. I took a sad step and proceeded to look it up on YouTube to watch it just once more. Still laughing a bit, I scrolled down and completely lost it once again and tears rolled down my laughing face as I read this:

A REAL vampire?! Stephanie Meyer knows EXACTLY what a REAL LIVING BREATHING vampire looks like?!?! WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THIS BEFORE?!?! I would have taken those overdone sappy trying to be a "love" story books more seriously, if only I had known! HAHAHAH!!!!!

Being Sick Is No Fun.

Friday April 15th-I WANT TO DIE. It looks like it snowed in my room from all the tissues. That’s cute. I’m sure you wanted to know that.

Rain Check.

Thursday April 14th- Pretty sure the grim reaper came for a visit during the night, decided to take a rain check and sent father flu over instead. FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC.

What a Wednesday.

Wednesday April 13th-Seemed like a pretty productive day.

Grammar.

Tuesday April 12th-COMMAS, SUCK. I, want, to, put, them, everywhere, in, my, sentences,- it’s, a, chronic, issue. Maybe, I, will, ha, hahaha, hahahHAhaha. Where, are, their, proper, places, to, go , again? I, can, never, remember. I, don’t, know, why, I, have, an, issue, with, them, so, much, but, I, do, gosh, danget.

Venus and Mars.

Monday April 11th- Thought of this song tonight while we had fhe tonight. Forget the fact its from the Disney Channel.  Gotta love talks about dating and relationships, and then speed dating afterwards. Had a pretty good time actually.
